The Best Knot for Fluorocarbon line...

Starting with the most important part of the rig is theknot! Here is a video courtesy of wiredtofish.com onYouTube.com.

Heres a video on YouTube courtesy of BassFishin.com, of instructions on how toTexas Rig a plastic worm. This technique is taking a Extra Wide Gap Hook "EWG" and sliding it into the worm so it sits in it. This works for all of Filthyfishermen Bait Co lures except the new trout seris.

Another method to catch bass with plastic lure is to use a Shaky head rig.  This rig is for Filthyfishermen Bait Co's The RoboTron, Needle Stick, and Watermonkey. Here is a video courtesy of Bassflasher Youtube.

Pitching and Flipping a lure is a key technique to pull big fish out of heavy cover such as grass. Filthyfishermen Bait Co's The Lizard, The Filthy Beast, The Crawdaddy, and Bush Hawg are all the weapons of choice for this technique.

Big Stick 5.5" Techniques

Here is the standard rigging for our Big Stick 5.5".It is called TEXAS Rig. It is weedless! It consist of a Gamagatsu 3/0 EWG hook and the worm. Most productive and versitle way to fish. Cast out, let fall, jerk it, dead stick it,  play on the bottom (add a bullet weight) this is a great way to catch fish! I tend to Dead Stick in spring, fall, and winter,  and jerk pause Summer.

Place the hook at the center of the tip of the worm and insert it 1-2cm

Measure up the worm to send the hook into and through the worm.

Now when the hook is set, just skin hook the tip of the hook. Strech the worm then insert the tip.

Bring the hook through the worm till the end of the hook is now at the tip of the worm.

A Bullet wieght added in front of the Big Stick will increase the drop rate or penatrate into thick pads.

Use:
3/16oz to 5/16oz Bullet Wieghts
Lead will work fine but Tungsten will work better.
Another popular and productive way to rig the Big Stick 5.5" is Wacky style. This consist's of a circle hook #4-5 I usally use, and the worm. I Also use a EWG hook and just switch the rigging while fishing. Just cast out and let fall, it wobbles on the drop. This is not weedless. Good from 45% banks, rocky drops, RipRap, suspending fish.. A split ring "Not sure diameter" can be slid on the worm and hook placed through that. Toms Tackle carries the correct size split ring and worms.

Be sure to measure so the hook penatrates the worm in the middle so the worm bends evenly.

Flordia rigging is an excellent technique to add weight to the rig directly to the tip of the bait. A sharp, raise and fall action is created by this rig. Looks like a crawlfish evading an preditor in the water.. This rig is very weedless!!! And the weights usally come with raddle in them. But they are costly. $3-4 bucks for 3-4 of them!! Great technique to use in thick grass mid summer...
Done on a clear worm "ICE" no salt floats in water
FloridaS1.JPG
Insert the hook just like a Texas Rig except insert 4-5 cm so the hook ends up closer to the middle
FloridaS3.JPG
Place the hook and SKIN IT! then prepare to screw in the florida weight.

Send the hook through

Place the weight to the tip of the worm. Remember, the hook and weight need to be tided first.

The Needle Stick
The Needle Stick is a deadly lure when fished Carolina Rigged. The needle stick has a neutral mixture that ables it to suspend off the bottom. Its the same as the Big Stick but with a Narrow Profile. I Carolina Rig with a 1oz egg in front a barel swivel with a 20" leader and 2/0 EWG Hook.

Use:
6.6" MH Spinning Rod with 6-8lbs Fluorocarbon line (4-8lbs PowerPro).
